Hello!

I’m Lisa - a writer and wedding officiant living in Tucson, AZ. I officiated my first wedding in 2021 and since then, numerous friends have asked for my assistance with their own wedding ceremonies. I love using words to bring projects to life and would love to help with your idea, celebration, or occasion.

For the past 10 years, I have written and performed original pieces at storytelling events across the U.S. and collaborated with artists to write board game backstories, scripts, and portfolios. I am a graduate of the writing program at Second City Chicago and the standup program Feminine Comique. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (The Great Books Program) from the University of Notre Dame, Masters in Public Health from the University of Arizona, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal.

As an officiant, I want to help you start your celebration – and your lives! – with just the ceremony you want, whether it is meaningful, moving, spiritual, funny, short, sweet, or all of the above.

As a writer, I delight in structure, flow, and the placement of a perfect analogy. I love building an outline that can withstand any storm and filling it with parallelism and powerhouse sentences.

And as a person, I love traveling, dancing, paddleboarding, and catching up on my holds from the library. If you are interested in working together, let’s connect!
